What’s Happening…Happy hump day from your friendly neighborhood eZine. We have been trolling for gossip and came away with some interesting tidbits…number one on our list Nick Cannon getting engaged to Victoria’s Secret model Selita Ebanks! According to Mediatakeout the truth.com Nick the man had a Rose Royce take the couple to NY’s Times Square where Nick popped the question on bended knee with a 12 – carat diamond ring. 
We’ve been hearing nothing but jokes since news of the engagement came down. Most being Nick’s so corny, He’s so lame and she’s too fine to be with him. We at the SdB eZine are reserving judgement on the couple and putting off predicting what will come of this engagement, but we will say this: (and remember down the road that you heard it here first). We can remember a similar dude back in the day getting his flow on singing Parents Just Don’t Understand. We thought he was funny looking and corny, and look at that brother now!! Whether Vicky’s girl will be around to reap the benefits when young Nick takes the crown from Will, remains to be seen but we can’t blame the girl for getting on board early…er we mean recognizing what a great guy Nick is and how much potential he has! *snicker* Oh and All we can say at the SdB eZine is: 12 carats…who knew he was paid like dat!?!? We’re guessing love do cost …and a little bit ah change too! 
In other vital statistic news…After her recent appearance at the Kentucky Derby looking real swole YBF.com is reporting that Lynn Whitfield is pregnant. The 54 year old actress and activist is expecting twins. Hold-up, take your gasp back. …that’s right grab it and push it back in your mouth. Ms. Whitfield’s younger sister and husband have been experiencing fertility issues. After several miscarriages Lynn has agreed to be a surrogate for the couple. See yall were wrong, yes we know what you were thinking because we were thinking it too! The girl and boy are due in October. All we can say at the SdB eZine is: That is above and beyond and she will be blessed. …we swear that’s what we are thinking…not on stack of bibles, but you get our drift.
In other Celeb news…TMZ.com has caught Jermaine Dupri being detained briefly in Los Angeles yesterday during what appears to be a routine traffic stop. It looks like JD was driving his Lamborghini which is seen with the doors open , while JD is being sat in the back of a black and white. JD was eventually released and LAPD has claimed no knowledge as to what was going on or why he was detained. Yeah Right…we’re talking LAPD here. All we can say at the SdB eZine is: We need to put TMZ.com on the trail of Osama. They are every damn place…I bet TMZ.com could find Bin Ladin. Check out the video here.
Speaking of racist…We at the SdB eZine are disturbed and disappointed in the lack of outcry and protest over the racist and inflammatory Al Sharpton and Barack Obama parody created by Rush Limbaugh. The racially insensitive and out right derogatory song Barack The Magic Negro is being touted as free speech and Rush pointing out the double talk of liberals –by his right wing fanatic following. A Sacramento television station posed the question on the air this week asking its viewers if they thought it was racist, an overwhelming number of Rush Limbaugh fans and other right wing fanatics 
lamblasted the station for even suggesting such a thing. It’s disturbing to us that Republicans continue to frequent shows that promote this type of veiled racisim. President George W. Bush did Rush’s show in Nov. 2006. All we can say at the SdB eZine is: They don’t wear white sheets anymore people they wear khakis and button downs and have a national following; they wear suits and ties and sit in the offices, subways and coffee houses right around you…or they may be called the leader of our great nation. Last but not least…Barack Obama has stated although he has not heard the song he has heard OF it and he did not take offense to the song. All we can say at the SdB eZine is: 
On TV: Our picks for primetime in the 8:00 p.m.time slot are the sketch comedy hit Thank God You’re Here on NBC hosted by David Alan Grier. This is not only a slight career comeback for the actor and stand-up comedian but a boost for others as well. If you like old fashioned real comedic talent this show will suffice. Also on at 8:00 p.m. the PBS series Secrets of the The Dead this history doc is just the thing to make you feel good for watching slop in the 9:00 slot. Which brings us to the American Idol results show on Fox at 9:00 p.m. We’re going to go out on a limb and recommend you check-out Crimminal Minds on CBS and just flip to AI during the commercials!
On SdB: We have some newbies join this week but we have yet to see them introduce themselves! Don’t be skurred people, don’t be skurred. Even if you think you can’t hang join in anyway, you’ll find out real quick if this is where you belong. LOL. Today’s recommended website: The CDC reports that 1 in 150 children in America today are living with some form of Autisim. Although research has shown no differences based on race, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status in either the prevalence or incidence of autism in children, studies still show black or African-American children with autism are diagnosed nearly two years after children of all other ethnic groups. The SdB eZine appologizes for removing the pics from the last post…we have been experiencing technical weirdness and suspect it was due to that post. We couldn’t figure out what pic or link was causing the problem and we hope we eliminated it!
