What’s Happening!
Just when you thought all was finally straight with Whitney and Bobby…The self professed king of R&B has announced he is suing his singer ex-wife. Whitney and Bobby who separated in 2006 and divorced early last month, have been the subject of much tabloid speculation. Many reports have surfaced linking Bobby to various women and being on the brink of homelessness. In documents filed Apr. 26 in Orange County Superior Court, the 40-year-old former New Edition member says that financial and emotional problems kept him from responding to Houston’s original divorce petition in time. Brown is seeking shared custody, child support and spousal support, and says he doesn’t believe that Houston has provided a copy of their prenuptial agreement to the court. He admits that Houston verbally told him that their prenup excludes spousal support, but he says he doesn’t have a copy of the document. A court date for Brown’s new case was set for June 15. In related news, Whitney who has spent the last year rehabbing and working on a new album was spotted and described as acting “stoned” this past week during the celebration of singer Stevie Wonder’s 57th birthday in the Bahamas. Whitney showed up at the party red-eyed leading many to believe she has fell-off the wagon. This is the second such incident in recent months, the first reported Whitney appearing and acting stoned during the pre-grammy dinner in February. All we can say at the SdB eZine is: Don’t call it a comeback …for either of these two…we don’t know what’s up with Whitney, but Bobby is clearly making a last ditch effort to hang on to his meal ticket.
And the addicts just keep going and going…As reported earlier this month Black celebs seem to be getting their DUI and substance abuse on at record rates in 2007. We have followed serveral high profile cases and we are sad to report that
weeks before Tracy Morgan is due to begin wearing a court-ordered ankle bracelet that monitors the amount of alcohol in his system, the actor was accused Friday morning of being drunk while getting a little too handsy with a South Florida disc jockey. Eurweb.com is reporting that Yuleika De Castro, whose on-air name is Sandy Domingo, filed a misdemeanor battery complaint against the comedian. She told Miramar Police she felt “dirty” and “violated” after Morgan, reeking of booze, touched her shoulders and arms, and kissed the back of her head. Morgan, a co-star on NBC sitcom “30 Rock, was in town to perform standup at the Improv Comedy Club in Coconut Grove. His Friday and Saturday night shows were canceled, said Isis Darios, who works in the box office. Club officials wouldn’t say why. No charges have been filed against the actor at this time. We’ll keep you updated. Steve McNair was arrested last week on DUI with a twist. The Baltimore Ravens Quarterback was arrested on charges
of driving under the influence in Tennessee although police admit his brother-in-law was actually the one behind the wheel. McNair’s BIL failed a sobriety check and the QB was taken down for the ride and charged with a misdemeanor under a Tennessee law that prohibits a vehicle owner from letting it be driven by someone who is inebriated. Last but not least crazy is as crazy does…ESPN.com is reporting Miami Dolphins running back Ricky Williams has failed a NFL drug test and the NFL Medical Team is recommending he not be allowed to apply for reinstatement in September. Williams was suspended last year for violating the substance abuse policy and was eligible to be reinstated this month, but the league’s medical advisers who oversee Williams’ personal rehabilitation program recently notified commissioner Roger Goodell of the positive test, sources said. Williams, who turns 30 on May 21, has played only 12 games since 2003. Before his latest setback, new Miami coach Cam Cameron repeatedly declined to say whether he would welcome Williams back. The NFL suspended Williams in April 2006 after he violated the league’s drug policy for the fourth time. That failed test apparently involved a substance other than marijuana and may have been related to his interest in holistic medicine. Last year Williams played in the Canadian Football League, then taught yoga in
California. Steinberg recently quoted Williams as saying his interest in Eastern philosophy had overcome his desire for mind-altering substances. Williams still owes the Dolphins $8.6 million for breaching his contract when he sat out the 2004 season. All we can say at the SdB eZine is: Check out the debate on Ricky from the SdB forum. Funny.

There are places all over the web touting interesting websites to visit. You can catch where to go on the web here in the eZine or go to SdB’s share your link for even more helpful and fun spots on the web. In an effort not to be out done we also feature WHERE NOT TO GO ON THE WEB ON MONDAY’S!!
Today’s recommended website NOT to see: www.fungamedownloads.com/. For the entire month of May we are highligting websites to help with planning summer events for the kiddies and the entire family. We are also highlighting things to be careful of this summer! With kids home for summer vacation your teens and preteens will be spending more time on the computer and most likely more time on the net. So we are telling our readers to beware of websites that are considered badware! These websites promote themselves as offering free games or other products that can be downloaded onto your computer, but in reality many including FunCade install a Trojan horse that adds bundled software to the Windows startup folder without disclosure, and most do not uninstall the bundled adware and spyware when the FunCade or other installation is removed. Many also attempt to deceptively get the user to download additional software during the uninstallation process. Don’t be fooled and don’t let your children be fooled, these bright colored gaming sites can be a nightmare.
That’s All Yall!
